John May died at Williamsport on Sunday morning of last week of delirium tremens. He was attacked the night before. He died in a fit, raving terribly, and lacerating his face with his finger nails. He had an attack a month or so since, and was then warned by his physicians that the next would likely prove fatal, but it seems that his appetite was so strong that he was powerless to heed the caution. For a long time he has kept the only saloon in Williamsport, and it was discontinued at the last sitting of the County Board
